Building History
With its distinctive and unique design, the Lippo Centre is one of the landmark developments in Hong Kong.  Constructed in 1987, the Building comprises two office towers with a retail element at Ground Floor and Podium Level with a gross floor area of approximately 1.3 million ft².  Tower One is 46 storeys and has a height of approximately 172m while Tower Two is approximately 166m high with 42 storeys.  A basement carpark accommodates some 35 vehicles with a loading/unloading area.  Located in the heart of Admiralty, upper floor occupants enjoy full sea views to the rear and views of Hong Kong Park in front of the Building.

The Building design was inspired by Australian architect Paul Rudolph of Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd and indeed there are some who believe the shapes along the building façade resemble koala bears climbing a tree trunk.
 
Initially called the Bond Centre, the Building was later renamed the Lippo Centre in March 1988.
